The places Chattanooga actually goes, picked by the people who go there.
Every year the town votes on its favorites, and what comes out is the list a friend would give you if you called and asked where to go tonight. Put in a vote for yours, or just go where Chattanooga already told you to.
Free to vote, free to win, and one vote per person in each category.

Somebody puts your spot up
It only takes one person mentioning a place for it to land on the ballot, and anybody can be that person. Nobody pays to be nominated, and nobody ever will.
Then the town settles it
Voting runs three weeks and we check every ballot, so the results are the honest opinion of a few thousand neighbors rather than whoever had the biggest budget or the most patient friends.
And a sticker goes in the window
On results day every category gets a winner and a Locals' Top 5, and we hand the stickers out in person at a block party instead of sending a press release nobody reads.
On the ballot in Chattanooga
Your favorite isn’t going to win unless the people who love it show up, and it genuinely takes about thirty seconds.
Independent coffee roaster serving the Hixson community.
Chattanooga fine-dining staple in the Chestnut Street warehouse district.
Family-friendly neighborhood alehouse on Dayton Boulevard with an arcade, a patio, and hand-dipped ice cream alongside the beer list.
One vote per device in each category, and confirming by email makes it count double. Vote in as many categories as you have opinions about, just once in each of them. Stuffing a ballot takes the fun out of it for the whole town, so we quietly check the numbers and pull anything that looks off.
Chattanooga has spoken — see who Chattanooga picked this season.
We published a winner and a Locals' Top 5 in every category, then spent the evening handing stickers to owners in person. Nobody on that list gets called a runner-up, because finishing in the top five of your own town is not losing.

The directory is nothing more than the places locals actually go, in the order locals actually rank them, with the things they would tell you over the phone rather than what a marketing team would write.
The argument, already settled
You get one winner and five more places the town is willing to stand behind, which is a much shorter read than the fifteen-item listicle somebody wrote without leaving their desk.
Every category, all votedThe things that aren't on the sign
Go early, park on the side street, skip the fries and get the slaw instead. Every listing carries an honest line from somebody who has actually been there.
Written by neighborsThe ones that just opened
Anywhere that opened in the last eighteen months and has somehow already collected regulars, which is usually the clearest sign a place is going to stick around.
Updated every seasonIt’s more than a participation trophy.
Getting on the ballot costs nothing and so does winning, which is the whole point. Every winner gets a window sticker, a digital badge you can drop on the menu and the front door, and the top slot in their category in the directory, all of it free. Plenty of winners never order a thing beyond that, and the sticker still does the talking.
